Satin Bows and Silver
Today's fun was making satin bows and attaching them to this metalic silver flip flop. The embellishment in the center of the bow has a single rhinestone and adds a little extra charm. ( no pun intended :)

Photo Floundering
Our weather is warming up.....finally! At least today is nice : ) Seeing the bright blue sky today inspired me to take inventory of already embellished flip flops and to make a few more pairs. My main task of the day though, has been researching how to take pictures of crystals. I'm not that great at it and am looking for any imput I can get. Here are some (experimental) photos I took today while trying to apply some suggestions from my intenet research. My first goal is to not have all the twinkles and glare.
The pictures aren't perfect, but at least the crystals don't have as many twinkles and/or glare. And the colors look true to color now. That's one small step for capturing crystals.

Wedge Flip Flops w/ Swarovski Flowers
One of the first pair of flip flops I "decorated" was for a friend of mine as a birthday present. I used an Old Navy Wedge and made flowers out of AB Crystals with a rose colored center. I divided the flowers with blue zircon crystals which to me actually look more green than blue in color. I thought the color combination turned out very nice. Her flip flops turned out to be too uncomfortable for her to wear for long periods of time so she asked me to redo her flip flops on a more comfortable shoe. This is a Reed Brand Flip Flop which is much more comfortable. Don't get me wrong, there are certain Old Navy flip flops that are very comfortable and I still use them for embellishing, but this particular wedge just wasn't that comfortable even for me. This is how they turned out:
